Large Sliding Screen Doors

A Large White Sliding Screen Door shown here used as a
Garage Door Screen. Shown in front of a standard 2 car
garage door. This unit has 4 tracks and 4 vents.
Sliding Screen Doors can be used for much more than
garage doors, though, and are perfect for use as
a very easy way to screen-in an
existing covered patio.

Although commonly used in front of garage doors, our Large Sliding Screen Doors can be used for much more than just garages. They are an extremely popular option to turn an existing covered patio into a screen room with a minimum of labor since the doors are shipped from the factory already built. You can even mix and match with some sections of sliding screen doors and some section with fixed screen wall panels. And, since the doors are easily removable, you never have to choose between a covered patio or a screened in patio - you can have either whenever you want. Typical features include:

  • Custom built to your size requirements. There is no such thing as a standard size, though, so don't worry about paying extra for "customization". There are maximum sizes both for width and height.

  • For garage doors, these sliding screen units are available for both 2 car garage doors and single car garage doors. 2 car garage units usually use 4 sliding doors. Single car units usually use 2 sliding doors. Other configurations are available for either, though. And please note that while you can drive vehicles through a 2 car garage unit, with a single car unit you will not be able to drive a car into the garage without removing the easily removable door sections.

  • All doors use large 1" rubber tires to make opening and closing the doors very easy. These large tires resist dirt and dust and will last for years to come. Some other manufacturers use very small diameter brass rollers which tend to clog and wear out quickly making opening and closing the doors rather difficult. See the photo of the roller on the left.

  • White or bronze colored aluminum frames are available. Both are the same price.

  • Optional color matched mounting channels are available and can ease installation in some applications. Talk to us to learn more.

  • 10 year manufacturer's warranty.

  • When used as a garage door screen, a large threshold on the inside and outside of the frame allows you to drive vehicles across the door sill without damage. See photos on the right. These thresholds are included standard for most garage screen doors. You may also want the thresholds in other situations, especially if you will be moving motorcycles or riding lawn mowers or other things across the door sill.

  • All units include inside latches to lock the doors into the closed position.

  • All are shipped with the doors completely built at the factory. Please note that the frame is shipped knocked down and in 4 pieces. The frame is assembled simply with 2 screws at each corner for a total of 8 screws and is then installed into the opening. Doors are simply dropped into place with no need of tools.

  • Units are available standard with 2,3, or 4 sliding doors, and more sliding doors if needed on wide units. Frames have 2 tracks or 4 tracks. With 2 tracks you have a maximum 50% opening, and with 4 tracks you have a maximum 75% opening. The number of sliding doors is not determined by the number of tracks - you can have 3 or 4 sliding doors on a 2 track frame if you like.

  • These are not the electrically operated screens you may have seen on television that go up and down at the touch of a button. We do not sell those units because they typically run $1,500 to $2,000 per opening and up (and often more for units installed in front of a 2 car garage door). The doors we sell are considerably less expensive, easier to install, and do not require electrical wiring installed for each opening.

Remember, Large Sliding Screen Doors are incredibly easy to install, even if you have no previous experience working with aluminum. And since we use the exact same units professional contractors use, your get the same result as if you had a contractor install it for, but at a fraction of the price.
