The
difference between a
pool cage (or "screen
enclosure") and a
regular screen room is a
pool cage has a screen
roof whereas a screen
room has a solid roof.
In many locales, the
pool cage and screen
room are not
interchangeable. You can
put a solid roof over a
swimming pool, however
you may not be allowed
to put a screen roof
over a solid surface; a
screen roof may only be
allowed when placed over
a pool or spa or other
water feature. Check
with your local building
department for more
information.
The
pool cage is generally
not suitable as a do it
yourself project. We do
sell all of the
materials needed to
build a pool cage,
however due to the
complexity of design and
construction, we do not
offer design assistance
for pool cages, nor do
we offer a complete pool
cage materials package.
If you are interested in
building a pool cage
yourself, simply provide
us with a materials list
of what you will need
and we will be happy to
give you a quote on the
materials. We do not
have a pool cage display
in our showroom, however
we do have product
samples of the materials
commonly used to build
the pool cage. The
materials we have for
pool cages feature:
-
Available in
white or bronze
color - same
price for
either.
-
All materials
are industry
standard and the
same as a
professional
contractor would
use, suitable
for use
throughout
Florida and
beyond.
-
Durable and
virtually
maintenance free
aluminum
materials.
